Size: diameter about 23 mm, 5-6 mm thick.
Back side not glazed. Cabochons can be used for bead embroidery, wirework, metalsmith, glue on jewelry metal blanks, etc.

About the manufacture:
All artisan ceramic components are handmade from Italian or German clay individually in small quantities, so there may be some differences between one pair and another. You will not always receive the exact pieces shown on the image but, very very similar to it and the same high quality.
The cabochons are first hand modeled from clay and left to dry for several days, then they are sent to the kiln for the first fire. After that, they are glazed with different glazes on the front side and sent a second time into the kiln to temperatures between 1040 and 1220 degrees Celsius (1904 - 2228 Fahrenheit).
The back side of the cabochons is left unglazed which allows them to be used for bead embroidery, glued on a metal blank finding. They can be used also in different wirework and metalsmith projects.
